Youth News May 2021:

Youth and Parents,

Somehow, we are almost at the end of another school year! As unprecedented as the year has been, I want to commend our parents’ perseverance and dedication amidst such strange schooling circumstances. You and your students are in my prayers during this final stretch; I am praying for strength, clarity, and peace for your students, and some amount of sanity for anyone who deals with them!

There is much to be excited about on the horizon for NCBC Youth. On Sunday, May 2nd , we will be having a special baptism service at Neill’s Creek, and multiple members of our youth will be participating. Our high school girls small group has recently launched, and is off to a great start! The high school guys small group will be launching this month, and we’d love to have any eligible students join us. Graduation Sunday is scheduled for June 6th, where we will celebrate six graduates from NCBC, with a church-wide luncheon to follow in the Family Life Center. There are still spots available for our summer camp, Passport, so if you are aware of a student that would be interested in attending, please let me know!

Lastly, be on the lookout for a Youth summer calendar in the coming weeks, containing tentative events, dates, and times for a variety of summer activities; pool parties, Bible studies, beach trips, worship experiences, mission projects, and more – all students are welcome to join us for any of these events! As always, don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about youth-related activities.

Thanks and blessings, Christian

Formatted similarly to the church goals, the Youth have compiled our own goals for our group. These goals are:

1) Completion of the NCBC Family Life Center – a space that can better accommodate our youth and church family
2) Engage in intentional mission/outreach projects to serve our community and spread God’s love to all
3) Become more biblically educated/literate – especially on obscure or rarely mentioned Bible stories & books
4) Continued development of unity within our group

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”     Galatians 2:20
